Inventory Control Specialist

Overview of Position: Responsible for the daily supervision and assignment of tasks for all inventory specialist personnel. This also includes ensuring staff complies with all safety protocols including the use of motorized equipment. The inventory control supervisor must be able to work collaboratively across multiple departments whenever necessary to improve inventory accuracy, processes and to support planning to ensure adequate inventory levels to meet customer demands.
Opportunity Highlights:
- Provide daily supervision for all assigned inventory cycle counting activities.
- Ensure correct reason codes are used to adjust inventory in Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Ensure validation and approvals for cycle count adjustments are completed per Inventory Policy.
- Ensure Inventory Organization processes are compliant with the Corporate Inventory Policy.
- Support Annual Physical Inventories and Convention related inventory activities as directed.
- Proactively implement inventory accuracy improvements whenever possible utilizing RCCA methodology.
- Provide daily oversight to Inventory Specialists Productivity, Logical Movements, Adjustments, etc.
- Research and submit scrap requests when required.
- Audit sub-inventory level accuracy (AVAL, RHLD, EXP, DAMG) as required.
- Conduct audits as required to ensure items are placed on quality hold in a timely.
- Elevate operational issues found that impact inventory accuracy to Inventory Manager/Site Operations Manager when necessary.
- Provide data/reports to Corporate Inventory Control as requested. upon request
- Execute other tasks as assigned.
Knowledge, Education, Skills & Abilities: Education - High School Diploma required, college experience preferred. Must have basic math skills, strong attention to detail and organized. Prefer combination of education and experience equivalent to Business Administration major, and/or 1-2 years experience in warehouse management or inventory control. Prefer working knowledge and experience using mobile scanners in warehouse environment. Must have experience with cycle counting and efficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. A working knowledge and use of basic statistical analysis with WMS and ERP systems a plus. Must have a positive attitude and the ability to lead a team to achieve established goals. The ability to work independently and across departments as well as interact positively with others at all levels of the organization.
