HEALTHCARE TRAINING

  • The Central Service Technicians (also called Sterile Processors) 6-15 month training program is designed to prepare each trainee to decontaminate, disinfect, package, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments, equipment, and soft good products. This is a critical support role in surgical areas. Trainees who complete this program and obtain employment as a Central Service Technician can expect to earn an average wage of $20.00 per hour.  Please contact Nancy Laubach for orientation dates and additional information at nlaubach@ccbcmd.edu or 443-840-1819.

  • Medical Front Office Training: Medical Front Office staff performs the administrative activities of a medical office. They store, retrieve, and integrate information for dissemination to staff, patients and clients. Medical front office personnel often register patients, schedule appointments, process communications, and enter data into electronic health record systems. They must have strong customer service skills. Medical Front Office personnel work in physician’s offices, outpatient and prompt/urgent care facilities, surgical centers, imaging and labs, hospitals, and other medical facilities. Trainees who complete this program and obtain employment as a Medical Admin can expect to earn an average wage of $15.31 per hour.  This training meets during the evenings twice per week for 3 hours (T, R 6:00-9:00pm). To apply for this training program, applicants should contact The Baltimore Alliance for Careers in Healthcare (BACH) directly at 410-931-3798 or at info@baltimorealliance.org.
