Northrop Grumman is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join the Software and Digital Technologies (SW&DT) organization in Baltimore, MD.  In this role, you will be an integral part of our engineering organization and will be vital to the continued successful execution of our charter to provide the technical skills, technologies and processes for internal and external partnerships to affordably develop, design, produce and sustain optimized product lines across the sector while providing a decisive advantage to the warfighter.  In this highly collaborative position, you will be working jointly with senior leadership of the SW&DT organization while also interacting with the overall organization of 800.  You will have a vital role in organization-wide initiatives to take our performance to the next level, improve employee engagement, and further innovation efforts.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Interacting daily with organization leadership team to plan, schedule, and coordinate activities in alignment with objectives
  • Assisting in preparing meeting agendas, capturing meeting minutes, and tracking action items
  • Coordinating travel arrangements and processing travel reimbursements filing
  • Maintaining organization-wide email distribution lists and sending organization-wide emails from the Director
  • Managing and administering SharePoint file repositories and Confluence web pages
  • Assisting with maintenance of web site
  • Administering and collecting responses from SurveyMonkey initiatives
  • Administering and tracking training (Leaning eXchange (LX) role tracking and role certification)
  • Facilitating effective use of office space
  • Ordering of supplies

Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

  • High School diploma and a minimum of six (6) years of experience in an administrative support position, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • High-level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Explorer) and willingness to self-learn other software packages as the job duties require
  • Knowledge and practical experience with learning management systems (prefer LX), travel system (prefer Concur) and SharePoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including informal communications
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills and consummate professionalism
  • Propensity to proactively manage and prioritize multiple activities, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Dependability, accuracy, efficiency, punctuality, and the exercise of good judgment at all times
  • Enjoys working with people, thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Self -starter, capable of working for extended periods alone or with little direction
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, collaboration focused, and quality attentive

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • Experience with Concur and LX
  • Experience with Confluence
  • Experience administering and collecting responses from SurveyMonkey
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge and experience
  • Creativity and ability to develop content-rich documents and presentations

Salary Range: $60,900 USD - $101,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
