Class Description

The purpose of this class is to provide front-line coordination of work related to advisement, registration and student services, including student applications, registration, drop/add and financial aid.

 

Minimum Requirements

High School diploma/GED and one year of clerical experience working in an office environment required. Prior experience to include computer skills, working with Microsoft Office software and providing customer service. Must be able to work some evenings and weekends (during peak) and the ability to travel between the Catonsville and Owings Mills Extension Center required.

 

Class Specific Essential Duties
  1. Provide day to day processing of enrollment related paperwork
  2. Resolve and troubleshoot problems in daily processing of service requests related to areas including application processing, enrollment, and course selection
  3. Process, prepare, and validate student documents relating to all aspects of the enrollment process
  4. Process mail, email, and handle inquiries from internal and external sources to facilitate efficient office operations
  5. Audit and/or verify student records. Research and resolve discrepancies

Position Specific Essential Duties
  1. Provide high level customer service to students on a daily basis
  2. Process and/or file paper applications, transcripts, registration/drop add forms, student identification cards, change of information, change of program of study, transcript requests, enrollment verification, FERPA release forms, etc. 
  3. Verify all related enrollment documents including editing of student personal information/program and courses/time status, graduation information in Banner for reporting and National Student Clearinghouse compliance, etc.
  4. Review student enrollment documents (applications, registrations, drop/adds, high school/college transcripts, change of information form, refund appeal requests, graduation applications) to prepare for scanning and indexing
  5. Research transcripts and student registration issues in Banner, Legacy, Xtender, etc.
  6. Perform Bursar functions to include: Processing payments for graduation, registrations, and Continuing Education programs, etc.
