Heaven on Earth NOW, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, seeks a part-time, Administrative Coordinator (AC) for employment three days a week, six hours a day—preferably Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
The AC will work closely with the Healthy Home & Living Project Coordinator and Executive Director, along with other Executive Team Members.
The AC will be responsible for helping implement Heaven on Earth NOW’s outreach programs including:
- The logistics of Healthy Home & Living, a life skills education client program
- Begin Again, which provides household essentials to clients who have emerged from homelessness and crises and are now rebuilding their live
- Others as needed.
In this capacity, the coordinator will:
- Assist in sourcing and acquiring items for the monthly, curated boxes; picking up printed materials and other needed supplies; maintain inventory of household items, among other related responsibilities.
- Plan, recruit for, and host weekly and monthly volunteer activities for: distribution of fresh produce boxes; nonperishable food pick-ups; assembly of Good for You Groceries and Begin Again offerings; and Healthy Home & Living creation & packaging events. The AC will use social media, emails, and website SignUp to communicate and confirm participants. The coordinator will direct clean up after the event and take photos and videos during each session to contribute to social media. After the event, the coordinator will add team members to our database and follow up with thank you letters.
- Provide general office support, receiving package deliveries as well as drop-offs and pickups of items from volunteer leads and community partners. The coordinator will lend assistance to the Executive Team in the office.
The candidate must possess excellent communication and organizational skills, Word document and Excel Spreadsheet capabilities, as well as a passion to make a difference in the lives of others. The coordinator must have an eagerness to learn and a love of working on a team!
